The JMSW Program currently offers three scheduling options for students.

  • Two Year Option (full-time)
    • Students complete the program in four semesters, taking 15 hours in each; no summer sessions (unless chosen for elective)
    • Classes are held during the day
    • Field placement is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday in the second, third, and fourth semesters
    • Curriculum Plan

     

  • Three Year Option (modified part-time)
    • Students complete the program in nine semesters, taking 6-9 hours in each; summer sessions are included
    • Classes are held on Saturdays
    • The first field placement is a block summer placement
    • Due to field placement, the final year is full-time

  • Advanced Standing Option
    • Students complete the program in one calendar year.
    • Students begin the program in May, taking two courses (six hours) in each of two summer sessions for a total of twelve hours.
    • In the fall and spring semesters, students take three 3-hour classes on Monday and Tuesday and are in field placement 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.
