The current JMSW program is organized with an advanced generalist concentration. The advanced curriculum is designed to prepare students to develop competencies in either Families and Youth at Risk or Health and Mental Health. The two-year program requires the successful completion of 64 semester hours. Advanced Standing students complete 36 semester hours.
JMSW faculty plan to implement a new multicultural clinical practice curriculum in Fall 2014. This curriculum will prepare students to work effectively with diverse client populations in clinical settings. The curriculum changes will be submitted to the review committees at both universities in Fall 2013. This website will be updated when the curriculum change is fully approved. The proposed plans of study are subject to change.
