JMSW - GRE Guidelines

The JMSW Program requires GRE scores as part of the application. There are no exceptions. No other test may be substituted.

Information about the test itself, as well as locations of testing sites and practice tests, may be found at the GRE website.

GRE Tips

• Schedule your test well in advance of the actual application deadline. Remember that it takes a minimum of two weeks for schools to receive your scores.
  
  
• Report your scores to both N.C. A&T and UNCG.
  
  
• When in doubt, report scores to the university, not the department.

 

Scores

Traditionally, the JMSW Program has not tracked the GRE scores of applicants. Nor do we have a set minimum score.

In 2006, the average scores of the incoming class were 409 verbal, 415 quantitative, and 4.0 writing.
